Ski hire in Italy
The Italian ski resorts are divided into two mountain ranges: the Italian Alps and the Dolomites. Further south than the neighbouring countries, Italy offers incomparable sunshine. Yet the Italian ski resorts are among the least frequented and the least expensive.
Italy has some very beautiful ski areas. Dolomiti Superski has no less than 1200 kilometres of ski slopes located at an altitude of between 1500 and 2300 metres. This ski area is the biggest in the world and comprises 15 ski resorts including the famous Cortina D'Ampezzo, Val Gardena and Altia Badia.
Skirama Dolomiti is the second largest ski area in Italy with 360 kilometres of ski slopes and 150 ski lifts. The ski area comprises 8 ski resorts including Madonna di Campiglio and Folgaria.
You will also have the choice between the Milky Way ski area and its 400 km of slopes, or further south, the Apennines chain with the resort of Abetone.
Italy is renowned for its gastronomy and its family atmosphere. Far from the factories of the northern Alps, Italy is an ideal destination for a ski holiday somewhere different which moves to the beat of the south.
